 We have received a large volume of inquiries regarding the correct procedure for bleeding the new style of push in fitting featured on Nissan, Renault, Ford and Mazda Vehicles fitted with Concentric Slave Cylinders (CSC). Here are installation notes to help you ensure that your clutch kit functions properly:

   

                                             

WARNING
Do not use a vacuum assist or any other type of power
bleeder. These tools will not purge all the air from the system.

 

   

Start with:

 

 

 

 

 

Fill master cylinder reservoir tank with new clutch fluid.

 

Connect a transparent vinyl tube and container to the bleeding connector (1) on the CSC.

 

Then:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Depress and release the clutch pedal slowly and fully 15 times at an interval of two to three seconds and release the clutch pedal.

 

 

 

Push in the lock pin (2) of the bleeding connector (3), and maintain the position.

NOTE: Hold the lock pin in to prevent the bleeding connector from separating when fluid pressure is applied.

 

 

 

Slide the clutch tube (3) in the direction of the arrow as shown to bleed the air from the tube.

 

Depress the clutch pedal and hold it, and then bleed air from the piping. Wait for 5 seconds.

NOTE Hold the clutch pedal down to prevent air from getting back into the clutch system.

 

 

 

Return the clutch tube and lock pin to their original positions.

 

Release the clutch pedal and wait for 5 seconds.

 

 

 

 

Finish Process:

 

 

 

 

 

Repeat steps 3 to 8 until no bubbles are observed in the clutch fluid.
